As an experienced educator, with a Master’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Systems Engineering, I have a demonstrated record of performance in tutoring math. Additionally, I have achieved measurable results in environmental education. However, by far, I am most passionate about teaching and tutoring math.

As an instructor, I have found the following skills to be essential to helping students learn and master new material:

  • Establishing rapport with my student. I have found that rapport and trust allow students to be fully engaged in class and more rapidly acquire new information.

  • Instilling confidence that my student can learn new ideas.  Without confidence in their ability, students struggle, no matter how hard they are pushed. With confidence and belief in themselves, students achieve higher levels of performance.

  • Breaking down large, hard to understand concepts into smaller, easy to digest information sets. This greatly assists the learning process.

In summary, what I will bring to the tutoring session is:

  • A  history of demonstrated reliability and performance. Please see the testimonials below.

  • A rapidly comprehension new material. I follow directions from superiors, and collaborate well with co-workers.

  • A positive approach that makes learning fun, which contributes to student satisfaction, motivation, and better results.

I think I would make a significant contribution to you or your child’s success and I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss how I can help.

Carter has many strengths as he is dependable, motivated, engaging, and works well with other tutors and members of the Heart staff.
